 1) 1 pound elbow macaroni

 7) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions:

   * Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until it's melted and the sauce is creamy.

 * Combine pasta and sauce: Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce in a large bowl.

 * Bake (optional):

   * Pour the macaroni and cheese into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

   * Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

Tips:

 * For a richer flavor, use a combination of cheeses like cheddar, Gruyère, and Parmesan.

 * Add a pinch of nutmeg or cayenne pepper for extra flavor.

 * For a crispy topping, sprinkle breadcrumbs or crushed crackers on top before baking.

 * Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes, like roasted vegetables or a green salad.
